Roulette: for the Las Vegas experience

Roulette is an age-old casino game that delights both young and old. Did you know that the very first roulette wheels had a single and double zero? In 1848, the double zero was removed, which attracted more customers to casinos. However, some casinos in the US decided to bring back the double zero. This gave the casino a greater advantage. These days, there are many different roulette games you can play online in American, French or European styles.

Aim of a roulette game

A roulette game consists of a wheel with red and black pockets on which 38 numbers are printed (from 1 to 36, 0 and 00). Other versions have 37 numbers with no double zero. You can make many different types of bets, such as betting on the number, the colour, or even or odd numbers.  In addition, you can also bet on corners, columns and number combinations. The ball is spun on the wheel by a croupier (the attendant at the table) and lands in a pocket with a number. When the ball has stopped moving, the croupier will check if you've won based on the bet you placed.

Roulette online: how it works

Online roulette is played in the same way. The only difference is that there is no croupier spinning the ball. However, the process is exactly the same online as offline in a casino. You decide on your bet – betting on numbers or combinations – and wait for the result. Online, you can play the European, American or French versions of roulette.

What makes roulette online or in a casino so fun?

Roulette is a game of chance. As a player, you can never predict the outcome. However, someone with more experience will have a better instinct for it. Over time, you learn how to place wiser bets, which means the game will be more rewarding. But inexperienced players can also have a lot of fun with roulette. If you're lucky, you can win a tidy sum even as a beginner. Roulette makes you feel like you're in Las Vegas and you often win good amounts of money.
